    “TNK Travel - Recommended”

I have used this company twice both for private tours with my wife and teenage son and couldn't be happier with the service and quality of the guides and drivers. Each time they were extremely helpful with my requirements. The staff were friendly helpful and always smiling - you need to engage them and have fun. If you set your level of expectation too high you will be disappointed and you should probably go and tour Europe or North America. The country is developing its tourism and making allowance for this will enhance your experience greatly.

If you are based in Ho Chi Min City and get Ki and Mo you will have a ball and be treated like royalty. There were so many highlight on both our tours I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. You have the opportunity to give feedback at the end of the tour and this is taken very seriously. less «

    “TNK - Personalized & Safe”

Our family group of 14 traveled to HCMC on the 6th to 9th November, 2013. We used the services of TNK for our hotel booking and coach transfer with guide from the airport to the hotel.
Upon arrival, our guide was waiting for us at the arrival hall with my name on a placard. Immediately ushered us to the waiting bus (44 seater) and assisted with the luggage. Brought us to the hotel where he (Mr Thang) checked us in. Minimal fuss and totally convenient.
Next day, I booked for my family a private tour to Chu Chi Tunnels as the agent I was dealing with (Ms Hang) advised that it would be more comfortable for us rather than joining in another tour group. We were picked up on time by Mr Thang again. As it was drizzling that day, we were each given a poncho. I thought that was a nice touch. Each of us also got a wet tissue and a drinking water bottle.
The tour in a smaller coach was good, and Mr Thang was at the same time informative and humorous. We enjoyed the trip immensely.
The hotel we stayed in was Hoang Hai Long 2 in D1, chosen by us primarily for the location. Being Muslims, we wanted to stay somewhere with abundant choice of Halal restaurants, and the hotel had also recently started serving Halal breakfast. The street we stayed in at Nguyen An Ninh Street is now effectively known as 'Malaysian Street' due to the high number of Malaysian visitors staying at the hotels there. Overall, good, clean hotel in a good location with reasonable rates, and the Halal breakfast is a plus point!
On departure day, TNK called me to confirm the pick up time as we had also booked the coach transfer back to the airport. They even sent a rep to ensure we had checked out smoothly and to ensure we got on the bus safely. We didn't require a guide to take us back to the airport so I thought the presence of the rep during check out was a nice touch.
We paid USD88 for the coach transfer and an additional USD10 for the guide on arrival. For Chu Chi Tunnel private tour we paid USD16 each, which is reasonable. The hotel rate was USD44 per nite with breakfast.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with TNK. All email queries where swiftly answered and communication via YM was always available. I even spoke to Ms Hang from TNK when I was in HCMC through her mobile to confirm certain details. She answered my call and attended to me even when she was at home!
I felt very safe with TNK and all my transactions were secured. Would recommend that you consider TNK if you are looking for a reliable agent in HCMC.

Did two tours with TNK booked through our hotel, the Beautiful Saigon 3. Both of them were extremely well conducted and we returned satisfied. We did the Cu Chi Tunnels half day in the morning and the water puppets, the cyclo and the dinner cruise in the evening. Would especially recommend the Indo China junk on the dinner cruise as we had a great time and thought that it was more than value for money. The guides on both tours were really great company. We can safely recommend TNK to everyone.

    “Alex the Lion!”

We did the two day one night trip to the Mekong delta, we booked online through vk tours. We were easily picked up from our hotel In district 1 and transferred to TNK travel where we boarded our bus for the next two days. It takes the whole day to travel down to Can Tho, on the way you stop for the "happy room", traditional music stop, a couple of boat rides, you then have lunch on an island. Our guide Alex was very nice and had a great sense of humour, he made the trip very enjoyable. During the booking process I asked what hotels they stayed at and found that we could stay at the Victoria hotel in Can Tho. When we arrived at the resort I found that my wallet had fallen out of my bag, and we hoped it was in the bus as it was the only place I had it open. We rang Alex and he found it on the bus, he then got on a scooter and came out of his way to give it to me. I was so appreciative of his service and friendly response. Our overnight stay at the Victoria then went without a hitch, on,y problem is we didn't want to leave! The next morning we rejoined the group by taxi which was paid for by TNK. The second day was spent on the Mekong River and going to the floating markets, the markets were rather small as there was a typhoon lurking about. We then went and saw a rice I'll and a rice paper factory, finally we were taken to a place that had a monkey bridge, well it was a baby monkey bridge over a little bit if water. I would of loved to have seen a big monkey bridge that crossed over deeper water. We stayed there for quite a while and some of our group tried some BBQ rat and frog, I was not adventurous to try! We then headed back to Can Tho where we had lunch, lunch was ok, a little rushed as we had to get back on the bus to head home. Overall the trip was great, yes you do go to a lot of the "tourist traps", we still had lots of fun.

    “A reliable travel agency.”

This one is going to be a long one.
Before arriving to HCMC, i have a done a little race to see which travel agency, will reply to my email faster. TNK were the first.
I had four free days, after a business trip, and I intended to fill them up with tours.
The agency and especially Ms. Tracy, exchanged dozens of emails with me (I'm a tough client), and tailored me tours for all four days. two daily tours (one in HCMC and one to Cu Chi tunnels), and another two days tour to Ben-Tre (the Mekong delta), My Tho, Can Tho and the floating market in Cai Rang, oh yes and another evening with a water puppets show, a cyclo ride and a dinner cruise.
They kept their words to the last and in a very fair price.
Their guides are professional, they kept the schedule, and were very nice.
I thank them for a great time.

Trip to Mekong Delta with TNK Travel

This was by far the best day trip we've done from Ho Chi Minh City. Our tour guide Alex was friendly, knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. We were given fresh fruit and the lunch was amazing. We were transported In a clean and comfortable coach with a very good driver. We had a boat ride around the delta and stopped regularly for toilet breaks. We had morning tea of fruit and were entertained by a local group with song. We had honey tea from a bee farm. We saw rice paper for spring rolls being made and other rice products. We had a cooking class and great lunch. The entertainment was fun and showed us a different side of the culture. Alex was available to answer questions and help out in any way. We had some people on the trip who got a little excited and noisy and Alex handled them with patience, tact and great diplomacy. Everyone had a great day. Thank you Alex for the trip of a lifetime :-)

Now we are back in Germany and remember your perfect organisation of the jouney through Vietnam. Everthing was very good, the drivers, the guides, the hotels - so we have nothing to complain and only want to say thank you for your engagement. Specially the short cut from Dalat to HCMC and on to Phu Quoc was a very good idea and in the gardenview bungalow we had a wonderful time to relax und enjoy the sea and the sun.
So the best wishes to you and all the friendly people in your organisation and in the whole country.

My partner & I did the floating market day tour from Ho Chi Minh, we had an excellent tour guide called Jay Jay, he spoke really good English & took us on a really interesting & adventurous day. We booked a group tour but as it is quieter this time of year we were upgraded for free to a private tour. Awesome day.

    “Professional and friendly tour operators”

We took 2 tours with TNK, as recommended by our hotel Signature Saigon, and booked our Halong cruise through them and would definitely use them again. The first tour was a full day trip to the floating markets and surrounding area (kayaking, cycling, lunch etc). We opted for the smaller, more personal trip with two other couples and our great guide An. I would definitely recommend spending the bit extra and doing the smaller minibus tour as it was much more personal and tailored. We took a boat to see the floating markets, then we saw some locals perform some music, we went to a rice factory, sampled the local drinks and produce, had a tour in a kayak, went cycling and finished with a lovely lunch! A very full and tiring day, but definitely worth doing as it gives you an insight into local life that you wouldn't get by just turning up or doing a bigger tour. The second trip we did was a half day coach tour to the Cu Chi tunnels. We had another lovely guide (I think her name was Tom) but this was quite different to our previous tour as included many people of different nationalities and customs and the phrase 'herding cats' comes to mind! She did a great job though. The Cu Chi tunnels themselves were fascinating and I would recommend visiting them, but perhaps on a smaller, more intimate tour with TNK rather than the one we chose. All in all though we found them to be a very professional company and would use them again.

    “Very enjoyable day”

Our first time in Vietnam, we went on the Mekong river tour from My Tho to Ben Tre We took a private tour for the four of us, $54AUD each. It was a really nice, easy day. Our tour guide picked us up from the hotel at 7:30am, we got to choose our time. The car drive took 1 1/2 hour. Walking through the local village we stopped for tea n fruit and had the pleasure of listening to southern Vietnamese traditional music. Sanpan ride down the river to another local village where they make coconut candy. Boat ride across the Mekong to Tortoise island to have a traditional lunch tasting the local specialty of elephant ear fish. We also got up close to a water buffalo, the local pet. The food was amazing, best we had yet. Plenty of bathroom stops and water supplied. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and did not rush us. We were not hassled into buying anything on our trip either so it was a very enjoyable day. Highly recommended to go with the private tour on this trip.

    “Enjoyable visit of Mekong delta”

We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and this was our first visit to the Mekong Delta. We wanted a different tour from the usual one and TNK offered us a special tour with original visits and good recommendations.
They picked us up at 6 am from the hotel and after 2h30 of road we visited the Cai Be floating market (it was quite small), then we visited a coconut candy factory and rice cakes (the truth is that it was very interesting to our daughters). We continue the morning visiting the Mekong Delta by boat for about an hour and after the visit we undertook a nice bike ride along the paths that line the canals.

At the end of the bike ride we stopped to rest at the restaurant, surrounded by gardens, large trees and a very friendly staff. While we waited, we were surprised with a nems cooking course and a workshop of bracelets and rings made with vegetables.
The place was lovely, with hammocks, bungalows and without excessive heat.
After lunch and rest, we started our way back to Ho Chi Minh, where we arrived three hours later.

Our guide (Than Tran) was very professional, spoke fluent English and was able to keep us entertained during the long bus rides.
The only regret was the way the guide insist to tip almost everybody.

    “Highly Recommended”

We did two tours with TNK after careful research on TripAdvisor where it just about came out on top. Very glad we picked them - friends who used other agencies had poor experiences, especially with Delta on the Cu Chi tunnels tour.

Anyway, firstly we did the Cu Chi tunnels half-day tour which was good. Yes, the tunnels are very busy and touristy, but it can't be avoided. But with TNK we had a great guide and reasonably sized group, and were allowed to spend a good amount of time at each point.

Secondly we did the Mekong Delta two day one night tour. This was our favourite tour of our entire 10-week trip. Our guide Thanh was amazing, took us a bif off the touristy route, woke us up early to see the Morning Market in full swing. The whole trip was brilliant.

These things often boil down to your guide, but with TNK we got two excellent guides and good sized groups, so would recommend them above all others in Saigon.

“excellent guide with lots of interesting info”

Some friends and i did 2 of some of the many tours that TNK offer. Firstly, we did the half day cu chi tunnels tour. Our tour guide, Alex, was exceptional! Very friendly, very funny, and extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He even entertained us on the bus with his guitar and singing! His English was possibly better than mine, but then i am from London lol! The trip was well organised and the journey itself was comfortable. We were fortunate enough to have Alex again on our one day Mekong Delta tour. Again we felt the trip was well organised, and even though we had a slight probelm with which bus we were on, theTNK staff were brilliant (mainly Alex) in helping us to tailor our day to suits our needs. 2 of our party stayed on to do a 2nd day on the mekong delta tour and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, while we had to get back and get ready for our earlier flights home.

Overall we had a brilliant experience in Vietnam!

We booked a tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The price was very reasonable (147,000 VND which is a little over $7 and includes an English-speaking tour guide, bus ride to the Cu Chi Tunnel with pick up and drop off at your hotel, and entrance fees into the tunnels).

Our tour guide was Thanh Tran. He was absolutely AMAZING. He spoke English very well - well enough to be able to make jokes, providing comedic relief when you go visit such a serious place. He was also very, very informative and told us not only a lot about the tunnels, but about Vietnamese history as well. He was so great, I'm so happy we got him as our guide! Thank you!

You have to be ready for a full 5 hours with a LOT of people at the tunnels. But we had Tranh as our experienced and knowledgeable guide to give us detailed information of what happened (from the Vietnamese side) in the war. I was in the UK when the war was on so only got the US limited side of things till now. Yes, the site has been commercialised to a degree but you get the real sense of what it was like for the VC when you go underground. Really a must do for every visitor and TNK was a good choice as operator - only $11 inc entry fee!
